Do you have any idea which cables/switches are they? What color are the cables/switches?

I think he means the headlight switch. Which if you need one I have a new headlight switch for sale for $40 in the 1st gen. Parts FS section.

Ok, that's a great price. But I believe my head light switch is still good. I guess the problem might be cables or something else.

how do you know it is good, have you checked its function with a multimeter? Jeesh...I think I mentioned this before...

After checking I did mention how to check the high beam function at the bulb end wiring harness...suggest you get at the very least some kind of basic manual (like hanes or whatever) and the dang multimeter...

all this is is speculation, you want to fix it yourself and save money, then follow the suggestions given, meanwhile, back at the ranch...

It's either the switch or the module in the steering column. Like I said in page 1 I literally just had this problem fixed.

Highbeams are out on my 95 Tacoma also but only when the lever is pushed forward. High beams work fine if I pull the lever back. I just had the steering wheel off to get at the switch mechanism but the wiring harness is too tight for me to get the mechanism off over the steering shaft. Have not figured out how to get slack in the wiring yet. Hope I don't have to go that far. Just looked at the two headlight fuses under the hood and they look good. Is it possible to get my meter on the headlight relay to test it for failures?

You have a forward and back position on your high beam switch? Does either position work? I have a 95 Tacoma and have the same problem. I am in the process of removing the whole switch then disassemble the switch to see if I can find the problem as the forward position does not work but the back position does. All the fuses under the hood seem good.
