So, if you saw a motorcyclist cut off somebody in a car, get tapped, and then see the driver of the car stop, you'd attack the car and the person driving it?

I own a motorcycle, and ride every day that it's sunny from April to November (which is saying something, when up here it's below freezing in the mornings for most of April, and a good chunk of October), and some days that it's not. Earliest I've ridden was March 19th, Latest was Thanksgiving. I average around 5k miles per year on the bike, and I typically ride solo, but I usually put on several hundred miles a year riding in groups as well.

That being said, it's the Biker's fault. 100%. This started out as a simple traffic incident, with a single biker getting his tire tapped after he CUT SOMEBODY OFF ON THE HIGHWAY. Nobody was injured, fortunately, and the driver of the RR stopped, acknowledging that an accident occurred, and probably wanting to do the usual routine of exchanging insurance info and summoning the police in case anybody wants to fill out an accident report.

Instead, the group of bikers attacks his car. Which happens to have his wife and young child inside. They slash his tires and use their helmets to beat on the RR.

Now, I don't know about you, but I'd be scared for my family. And I'd gun it and run the bastards over too.

The motorcyclists caused the situation by driving recklessly. Then they escalated it by attacking the SUV. Then they escalated it still further by CHASING the driver for 50 blocks, and attacking him again when he was forced to get off the highway. The fact that they dragged him out of his vehicle and beat him is unconscionable. The fact that they did it front of his young child makes it that much worse.

Frankly, the only thing the driver of the RR did wrong was stopping before the police got there.

I don't mean this as "tough talk" or whatever, it's just how it is. If a group of ANYBODY, of ANY denomination/association starts attacking my vehicle while me and my loved ones are inside it, you can be damn sure I'm leaving. In a hurry. And if they're not going to get the hell out of the way, I'll damn sure leave anyway, and I'll sort the legal parts out later.

You know what makes bikers look bad? Crap like this, and attitudes like yours.

I bought the glass from a Highlander. I'll check to see if I still have the part numbers. I tried one iteration using motorcycle heated grips but it didn't work out too well. Rob got me a timed Highlander switch also to control them.

Billy, I ordered through Camelback Toyota:
87961AE020 body hardware, front door, outside mirrors, mirror glass w/heat Left Qty: 1 $46.73
87931AE020 body hardware, front door, outside mirrors, mirror glass w/heat Right Qty: 1 $46.73

That first group of numbers is the part number. The price at the end is what I paid plus shipping.

What's involved withe the hook up? I assume wires to mirrors from a relay as well as wires to the switch to control said relay?

Yep, that's pretty much it. I have the mirrors installed and all wires run, just have to hook up the relay and plug in the switch. It's been like that since about January though... It's getting cold now so I'll get on it this month.
