    Does anyone know what kind of RPMs our 5vz-fe's can get to without tearing themselves apart? The only thing I can find anywhere is how to get idle RPMs back to normal.. Thanks:thumbsup:

    3" Eibach Coils, 3" AP Springs, AP 6" Shackles Toytec Diff drop, BAMF Sliders, Deck plate mod,Volt meter, Highbeam mod, PIAA fogs, 18" Magnaflow, LED dash swap, Color matched Satoshi Grille, Custom Rear Plate Bumper
    3.4 has a rev limiter around 5500-6000 rpm. I wouldnt stay on the limiter too long....

    basically this

    while it could withstand high revs for a few seconds, there's really no reason to push the truck that hard, for that long.

    It's got a limiter for a reason... to LIMIT it from hurting itself

    I read on how the 3.4 could be made to safely rev above 5500 RPMs. I would like to simply know how to make this happen

    Why would you want to go higher? You are not gaining any extra hp only loosing at that range.

    If you want 6-9k rpm, get a honda vtec

    you don't gain any more power going any higher. Google dyno charts.

    only way you'd want to is after you put a forged 3vz crank in, forged rods and pistons, turbo it and custom ecu and head work.

    so about another 10-14 grand into the motor.

    you want to go fast?

    i have to hit 4 on the hwy to pass people or go up hills.

    but once you hit 4.5k..power runs out.

    Just be sure to film it and post it when you do test the limiter.

    I have, usually when i'm merging, but several times i've just pushed the pedal to the floor to get around traffic.

    But i don't want to raise the redline, just because i won't gain any power, and i don't want to hurt the motor.
