Vibration issues

I know the vibration issues with the tacoma has been combed over many-a-times. My issue- Constant vibration no matter what speed you go, can't really notice it until I am doing about 30+ Mph but the faster you go the more noticeable it gets. Driving straight and turning left it vibrates, slightest turn right and it stops, clutch in or out it vibrates. Any ideas?

Could be a tire balance problem or a u joint. Give us a little more info. Is it lifted, do you have over size tires, how many miles on the clock, stuff like that. I am sure we can help you figure it out.

 

Possibly a wheel bearing

 

Stock height, tires are stock 245s wrangler authority's, just hit 139k.

 

Tire balance, wheel bearing, carrier bearing, slip yoke on the drive shaft all could be an issue.

Got around to taking the from driveshaft off last night, vibe was still there. Got the tires balanced a couple weeks ago, vibe still there. It has gotten worse since I made this thread and am really tryin to get to the bottom of it. I haven't had a alignment since I bought the truck in April 12. I'm mostly stumped because it still isn't vibrating when I turn the wheel left.

 

How are the tires wearing? Any chunks missing?

Goes away with slight turn to the right? I would think that the right wheel bearing is gone..when it gets "unloaded" a bit, it would go away..if it stays with a more aggressive right turn, the wheel bearing is taking just as much pressure..
Are they the stock bearings? If so, you got your $ out of them..a lot of people had to replace them with half that mileage.

Not sure if the bearings are stock or not. Should have been more specific, it goes away no matter how much the wheel is turned to the right.

 

After I installed my 3 inch lift I had vibrations as well. Replaced both front wheel bearings, Center Support Bearing, checked and greased the u-joints, still had the vibe. Tried different carrier bearing spacers, still had vibe. Then I ordered the front diff bushing from east coast gear supply. Took me about 4 hours to install, just got back from a test drive and my vibes are gone. I recommend you consider replacing the driver side needle bearing with the ecgs bushing in the front diff if all else fails.
