Ya lol. Same with the back of the house. Current grade is just over 3' below ff, they intended on bring grade up so that it would be two steps out of the house to the patio (to avoid having a railing) but they didn't take into account the two basement windows on the corner that's not far away lol

The super asked us what to do, I told him his boss told us to pimp it out so I recommended a koi pond in the window well lol

Lol better write it down before you forget

 That would be like looking at an aquarium when you look out the basement window. Better use thicker glass to handle the water pressure. ;)

Lol they buy the cheapest of the cheap windows
If done right its not an issue, but they don't do anything right lol. The elevations they choose don't work for what they think they can do
    Susan makes ice cream?!!?
    I don't like doing that

No doubt it can work but from what you said that they are compensating for no forward thought in the design/architectural stage that this is not a valid resolution no?

Oh and Im sure she does just like the cookies I never was able to partake in...

Oh ya it's a joke. Same with their other project down the road from us. Apparently they don't know how to check roof pitch lol. The new trusses they ordered are 5" taller at the peak then the existing roof lol

Depends on the company. My boss does try to push better quality products but it always comes down to money, everyone just wants the cheapest and lowest labour cost products used.
