Just wondering. Has anyone heard of or thought about a 5.7 swap from a tundra into a taco? I dont even know if its feasible, but it would be bad ass. Any input would be appreciated.

enjin swapz iz serius bizness. :)

I have heard of someone supposedly trying and failing.

Some people put a smaller V8 in their tacoma, but it is a lot of work.

I'd spend the money on a supercharger for an 01+ before trying to drop in the old or new tundra motor.

I knew a guy that had a 84 taco with a 350 that would snap your neck when he floored it though.

Big tires, big lift, Lots of stuff's.
My neighbor had a Cobra motor in his 1st gen Tacoma with a 6inch lift and 33's and it was a blast to ride in. Very unpractical but fun :). Too bad he sold it.

That much juice in a vehicle the size of a Taco is almost overkill anyway. You in that much of a hurry to ruin your rear tires?

    New truck....so nothing yet
At one point didn't Toyota have a smaller V8 than the 5.7?? Something like a 4.4 or something? That would be a lot closer to the 4.0.
