The wife jack knifed the jet ski trailer yesterday and dented up the bumper pretty good. There was no other damage, and I was never really crazy about the chrome with the Super White. What I would like is a black tube style bumper. I checked out the Allpro, but I'm not digging it on my stock truck, though it looks badass on some of the trucks around here. So what are some other brands to look at? I saw a rig on here that had what looked like two 2" tubes that came around the fenders just a bit, but I can't find it now. Also, compatibility with the spare tire and factory tow package hitch is a must. Thanks fellas.

Not sure about the other bumpers but if your going to keep the truck stock. Stick with the stock bumper IMO.

Yeah, after looking at different ones, I think I'm just gonna stick a stock one back on. All the ones I'm seeing are too minimalistic or hardcore for my ride. I'm going to swing by the dealer and price a new one, and see about maybe color matched one for a Sport.

Just what I was about to say. If I was in your position, this is definitely the way I would go.

Yeah see if you can get a SW one to match your truck. Looks way cleaner I think.

I have a spare stock chrome bumper for sale. (Haven't posted on TW yet b/c I don't have pics.)

I purchased it a little while back thinking I was going to take off the chrome, paint it black (or color-matched) and replace the bumper on my truck. Yesterday I bought a color-matched bumper on here, so now I have a chrome bumper on my truck, I have a chrome bumper in my shed, and I have a SSM bumper on the way to my house.

If you decide to go all the way stock, lemme know. You're in NW FL and I'm in AL. I bet shipping won't be much.

A stock 09 one is anywhere from $900-1000 for the chrome version.

I just went through this with Quality Toyota in FWB. I took the insurance money and chose the black off road bumper from Amor tech who is a vendor on TW and it was less expensive. Kevin will build it with whatever options you want to add or take off. Backup Lights, clevis shackles, hi lift points, hitch, flip plate, etc

yeah, there are several companies offering off road bumpers that follow OEM style somewhat.
PS: I really like the armor tech one

That's a pretty solid bumper. Nicely done.

If I ever get insurance money for a damaged bumper I'll be getting something like that.

if the wifey is going to be driving the truck again it might be a good investment to get a solid bumper like the one armor tech has

That's the same I did. He has been working on mine lately. I would venture to say that I'll receive it within 2 weeks and I'll get it installed shortly after that.

Good choice. My tracking no# shows its to be delivered today. I cant wait to get it installed. Pics will follow soon.

My experience with most of these aftermarket bumper companies hasnt been a pleasant one. If you google search or look up these companies on the "better business bureau" you see all kinds of problems and ripoffs. You have to do your homework. They take your orders and then never deliver a product.

Kevin is a standup guy and his products look awesome from the pics I have seen. He stayed in contact with me and explained choices along the way. Hopefully later today I will know first hand.

Any pics? You might be able to just take off the bumper and pound it out. The aftermarket ones are big$$.
If your going to change the back, you have to do the front IMO. Extra insurance if your going to let the wifey drive though.:D

by the time I have my front bumper damaged, I bet Armor Tech will have a front bumper designed.

    FishShooter,
Im not sure where in NW FL. you are located but you are welcome to look at my ArmorTech bumper first hand if you want. It will give you an option and the ability to see a different design first hand. Pm me if interested. Mine was considerably cheaper than a factory replacement so I made money on insurance.

The stock bumper is weak and thin. Mine was pushed up and under my rear quarter and I simply pulled it out and away so I could keep driving the truck. Feels like an aluminum can.

I had considered many brands before chosing Armor Tech. I suggest you do some googling and check out any online company you decide to do business with.

KraQr, I may take you up on that. I'm in P.C. It looks like you have the exact same truck as I do too. I'll PM you later, thanks.

I'm digging that basic Armor Tech bumper. I definetly want to replace the front at some point. I wanted to do both at the same time, but was planning on doing it much later.

My bumper will have an integrated hitch below the bumper which you may want if you tow often.
