Pain is better than itch!

Your lucky. My wife is like that. I look at that shit wrong and I get it. I have had some pretty nasty reactions to it. I'm usually pretty good at spotting it, so I can avoid it.

One time I was working outside, it must have been in some brush I was clearing out. I must have got the oils on my arms, I was sweating and rubbed the sweat from my forehead with my arms. Well the next day my forehead was swollen 2 times its normal size. I looked like some type of fucked up monster. To top it off had to go to a wedding looking like that. It was friends of my ex-wife, so I didn't really know anyone. I pretty much just hung out at the bar the whole night. The bartender felt my pain, and always made sure I wasn't holding an empty beer. LOL.

 

I've been in on before. A little different though and no door. Just a hatch you unbolted about 6ft up just big enough to crawl in. Getting out is a bitch.

I have prescription poison ivy cream and it doesn't smell and goes on nicely. Best of all it get rid of the rash in like 2 days. And the itch is gone right away.

 

Be super careful when you pee, that stuff spreads like wildfire. You don't want it in souther regions.


I learned this lesson the tough way as a kid.

 

damn! yeah i try and stay out of it, but sometime i’ll be out stomping around or doing something in the woods and realize i’m in and i never get anything.

dad has done that before, i think he also got it in his eyes.

My dad is super allergic to it. He missed a week of school one year as a kid because everything was so swollen. He ended up getting it when we were on vacation one year and had to go to the hospital

 

Poison ivy (or oak, or sumac) is not contagious, and it doesn't "spread". As long as you have washed thoroughly it won't go any farther than where the oils have touched. It's a common misconception because it can take weeks for all of the affected areas to generate a rash and if you don't wash up thoroughly you can spread the oils around.

I am super allergic and need to get steroid shots every time I get it.

Best stuff on the market once you have it - better than prescription




If you roll around in it and it hasn't bubbled up yet this is one of the only cleaners known to man to completely remove the oil.

This is true.

Sweet, I'll look into that. Good to keep stuff like that around. I usually end up getting it atleast once a year.
