Thank you. I got a bit of a deal cause I knew the guy. It cost me $500 labor plus the vinyl roll with was $900. So $1300 in all. I think quotes from shops were between $2000-$3500.

Nice rig, any closer pics of the wrap? Looks like a matt MGM from here. Which is a compliment!

Thanks for the compliment. Its a flat black. This is the closest picture I've got right now. (and the truck is dirty)

Haha thanks Craig! No matter how much you say it, it always puts a grin on my face!

While pricing places out see if they will do just the labor if you bring in a roll of it yourself. Or hit up craigslist for guys that do it freelance. A roll costs ~$800 and after that its just labor. I have seen quotes between $2000-$3500 but if you get a freelancer you might be able to get it as low as mine $1300.

(You might look into the plastidip craze as well. I might try that after this comes off someday. I've been told ~$700 all in)

Well... I'm going to send it to my body shop guys to fix the bedside before our October meet in Va.
I've got more pinstripes than a cheap suit from 1920...
Just looking at the option really.
I'm curious how the wrap would hold up to the abuse of tight trails. I've been known to bomb down some ATV sized ones...:anonymous:

I would say it will hold up to light abuse. But it is definitely not as strong as an actual paint bond/layer. That's the bad news. The good news is it is easy and cheap to replace panels. If you are a punisher of your clear coat I'd say there is only one way to disguise your offroad activity. Rhino Liner. :D

Looks great! Where did you buy the supercharged emblems? I hated the TRD ones too, look like something a schoolgirl would put on her notebook.

Also, what are the benefits of vinyl?

    Thanks Delmarva!

Thank you, I ordered the emblems online. I think they were Cadallac emblems but the font matched pretty well.

    The benefits of vinyl are:

    1. Looks good
    2. Much less expensive than a paint job
    3. Fully reversible (so you can try something crazy if you like and not worry about it being a huge mistake)
    4. Protects against light damage (ie. pinstriping, etc.)

Thanks T4, I have enjoyed the wrap. While it may get dirty faster than gloss it goes a lot longer with out looking dirty. It just gets...mattyier lol.

    Truck looks great and tough!

Which fenders are you running and what are the specs on your wheels? Also, do you have any head-on pictures so I can the fender tire coverage?

The fenders are Glassworks 4in. and my wheels are 16in Ivan Stewart TRD wheels. Tires are Toyo MT Open Country 315s. I'll try to track down a head on shot.

Thanks guys! Really big compliments. Its still a work in progress of course.

    Aren't they all... ;)

I actually did some research on the fiberglass after subbing to your build.

I like my setup a lot but those fenders look so clean. :jellydance:

I've never seen someone do the bedsides and run a cap though.

Yeah the topper/cap would definitely look different. The bedsides make the truck significantly wider. It is most noticeable because the top of the bedsides go from something you are worried to set a soda can on cause it might slide off to a little table top like surface.

So you would have to find a topper that doesn't wrap over the sides and then there would still be a lot left over but it might not look bad. Might have a cool expedition look to it thought. Especially if you put a rack OVER/AROUND the topper!

I'll take a pic to show you what I mean.

But I do plan to put some sort of bed rack in the truck. Its on the list...

Here are some pics of the fender/tire coverage. Keep in mind I have spidertrax spacers.

Here is why you'll have a hard time getting a cap on the bed. Even if the cap wasn't made to wrap over the bedsides like many are, it will look...interesting having the cap terminate well inside the flat area on the bedside. But like I said, I haven't seen it before and it might be a cool look!
