The 2nd Gen altimeter came in 89-96 Toyota surfs (4runners) and does anyone know if you can put one in a first gen TACO?
I think there pretty badass, and the only wiring is for lighting.
the main issue would be where and how to mount it.

you can find inclinometers and such for a lot cheaper than what youre probably going to pay for one of those

i tried to buy one on ebay 3 or so years ago and every time the bid went over $100

You don't need a inclinometer unless you want it for the *coolness* factor.

To FEEL the terrain and the tippiness of your vehicle - you're FAR better off going by your ASS METER (gut feeling) than using any inclinometer.

The part that I think is cool is the altimeter. I always loved that in my moms old 87 4 runner

Soon to be everything lol. Not my first toyoter
I just found my old 4runner altimeter, the brown almost matches my brown dash in my 97 tacoma.... I'm thinking I'm going to wire it in just because I want to. I see it's only a hot and ground wire, I'm guessing the unit just works with just that.

Remains to be seen I bought the tires and wheels the rest came along
Once you have it mounted if you want it to really to work accurate you need to adjust things.

Never fails the few I had got tossed out or stolen. I used that location to mount gauges.

Oh yeah I'll adjust it, I was just excited it doesn't have to be wired to the ecu or something dumb.
I kept this one from my 4runner and I've held it close for like 10 years now and finally found a spot for it... I'm going to have to build a Gauge cluster somewhere too.
