I decided to add this MPG info because another user mentioned it was helpful,

i get an average of 15.5-16.5 daily normal driving
i can average 17-18 in town driving nicely
highway trips when i drive 60 mph i get 19.6 ish
    highway trips when i drive 75-80 i get 15-16
towing my boat (2900 lbs) i get 12-14
towing my car hauler empty (1900 lbs) i get 13-14
towing the car hauler loaded with 81 4x4 i get 11.6-12.5 @55-60 mph

    my 2012 4.0 auto i got
i got an average of 17-18 daily normal driving
i could average 19-20 daily driving nicely
highway trips when i drove 60 mph i got 22 ish
    highway trips when i drive 75-80 i got 17ish
towing my boat (2900 lbs) i got 13-15
towing my car hauler empty (1900 lbs) i got 12-14
towing the car hauler loaded with 81 4x4 i got 10-11.5 @55-65 mph
the best i got, with a empty car dolly in tow was 497 miles on one tank @ 23.5 mpg

most of these numbers are from fill up and divide method, but now i have a scangauge, which when i checked with the fill up and divide method was dead on. so all of my monitoring now comes from that.

    yesterday i ordered

wheelers offroad preload shims to bring the baja suspension up to 3 inch lift, and 1/4 top plate spacer for the driver side to fix the taco lean.

    Coverkings, ballistic tactical seat covers.

I missed out on the WO group buy since i spent the money on tools, but i had a set of coverking ballistic covers in one of my old yota pickups, they were super tough so i figured ill give them a shot here, i like the molle on the tactical version so i can put pouches for all of my junk.

Oh thread, ok yes i have that one but i figured i would try to keep it for Plasti dip related stuff.

I have derp'd 2 sets of emlems recently but there are a million of those so i didnt bother with pics, i also touched up the tacoma a while back but its holding up great as it gets thicker and thicker so touch ups will be farther and farther apart. Untill i get around to re-doing or removing

Next will be installing the shims and seat covers when they get here, but next purchases will probably be skids and sliders.

I have a tubing bender, but no good places i have found to buy tube here. And i need to invest in a plasma cutter and a better welder as well but im paying off bills first.

I uploaded some pics, if there are any others anyone wants to see let me know and i will upload whatever i have!

Today the battery shit the bed in my truck. Taking it tomorrow to toyota. Its charging iradically between 12-15 volts. I checked and I dont have any constant draws. Wierd and frustrating. Luckily I have a 6spd and I can bump start the truck or I would have been stranded.

Drove 25 minutes to Toyota and sat there for 2 hours. They tested everything and it all tested "good" couldnt find any draws.. the battery tested bad initialy, and they re-tested it after the other tests. It tested 75 percent 630 cranking amps and "passed" so the arent going to warranty it. Guess I better throw the jumper cables in my truck and drive it untill it fails more than 1/4 of the time. Lousy.

That's not cool. Hopefully it won't give you anymore issues, but best to be ready in the event it does.

Yes sir, the odd part is i drove it 25 min there, and they set an apt for 2 hours later, so i went to home depot, had to bump start it there, then i went for the apt and they had to jump it in the lot to get it in the shop. Then they came back about half an hour later and said the battery was bad and they are doing data stream to check the other components. After another period of time they cam back and said that the battery now tested weak, but still within the acceptable range, and that everything else was working fine. I drove it home and it has started every time since then. Its pretty wierd to me that it would be dead after a 20 plus minute drive (within 2 min) and now works "fine" but the good news is i only have 8200 miles on the truck so its still got plenty of warranty. They noted "aftermarket wiring and accessories" on the trouble ticket, and "no current draw found" as well. So i think they are just as puzzled. The shitty part is if its going to be a intermittent problem that they write it off and im stuck with it that way untill its a more deffinate problem.

You would think it would have charged up a bit during the trip. But, if it was run down enough, probably not. For now, I would give it a nice long trickle charge and see how it does. But if it gave me another ounce of trouble, I would insist that they replace it. Just remind them it's probably cheaper to just put a new one in than tow you in and then have to do it anyway.

my new coil isolator, and top plate trim spacer thing should be here tommorrow! that should get my truck back sitting pretty!

Im really debating taking the plasti dip off my truck this weekend, who thinks i should?

also, check out what i built yesterday.. my other project (1 of 100) is remodeling my house.. I wanted a ledge around the office (right now its a bedroom while i build my new room) so i half walled it, then i was going to stone the top. but i ended up tongue and grove wood.. brain fart here.. anyway

Not much for the truck, i felt like crap this weekend. But i did get some more woodworking done in the house!

Man i can not wait untill its done! im a little bit anal making sure everything is square and plumb and when the house was built in 1941, nothing really is. So LOTs and LOTs of fitting and shimming and trim to get it right.

Im going to strip the paint off the window, and re-trim the frame, as well as stain all the wood when its done.

I thought about replacing the windows (5 like this in the basement) but two i just put new sealed wells on, and one im replacing with an egress window. And since i am also doing all of the other windows in the house im not going to replace these ones just refresh them.
