I doubt Mark would bolt after one year either, but a possible 5million a year is tough to pass up

Sources said UofO would match whatever to keep him. He's an Oregon native (only coach we've had that's Oregonian) and he said he's extremely happy here. He won't leave.

$$ does crazy shit to folks tho!

Yes it does. But the chance to coach Texas. Which you can argue is the best brand in football with an endless amount of cash on hand.

It would be interesting to see Phil Knight go toe to toe with the University of Texas for a coach though.

    Yeah Texas is bigtime.

We'll see but I still say he won't go.

You have to remember $5mil. goes a lot further in Texas. This is something A&M has been looking at USC and Sumlin talk. Having said that I also doubt he goes. I don't see Texas offering him that kind of money for one year as HC with another coaches roster.

Pretty sure we'll be wearing pink uniforms this week for breast cancer awareness. Should be interesting to see if they are the pink ones that were shown before the season.

Just saw that Bama safety HaHa Clinton-Dix accepted money from a strength coach on Bama's staff.

I completely agree. I don't think Texas could go after a 1 year first HC coach

The USC/Sumlin rumors could be interesting come January.

It's a nickname from his grandmother, if I remember correctly. His real name is Ha'Sean.

I heard on local radio today this sports guy saying he'd never seen of a Saban player return after being suspended indefinitely.

I was thinking the same thing. Ha ha.

    HaHa's name is Ha'Sean.

He took $500 as a loan, and paid it back already. From what I understand, it was paid back a long time ago... shortly after it was borrowed. The coach has been put on leave. (Could you imagine having to go into Nick Saban's office after this came out? I'd be scared for my life.)

Finebaum saying right now that some NCAA by-law expert is indicating that penalties won't be far reaching... Says that EVEN IF if the coach is deemed to be an agent, the penalties won't be that harsh. A player a few years ago was suspended two games after receiving around $2k worth of impermissible benefits. (He paid back the value, too.)

I hope the suspension is 4 or fewer games.............
