    All in due time...
Adio, I had it made at a kiosk in my local mall. They can custom cut decals in about 3 mins and it cost me $9. I had them invert the colors so the white would stand out on the window. The dimensions are 3"x5".

I've had windows tinted to limo on a few cars I've owned over the years(pre Tacoma). I never had any issues with the back windows being limo tint, I never did limo on the front(passenger and driver side). I only did a shade just below limo tint on the fronts. I liked limo tint since that it blocked a lot of the sun during the day. It helped at night when raised trucks would have their HID's hitting my side mirrors and coming into my vehicle. The negative side was that it was harder to back up. You couldn't really see out of your blind spot very well. Doing this both at night. During the day no problems. I've never been pulled over for my front passenger and driver side windows tinted(even though where I live it's illegal to have any aftermarket tint on the fronts). I knew it was illegal but I knew it was before I did it and I take the risk in getting a ticket for it. I haven't decided if I am going to windows tinted at all on my Access Cab.

A buddy of mine long ago had limo tinted his windows on his truck(front and back). Within 2 weeks of having it on he had gotten pulled over. I asked him, "was it just because of the tints"? He told me, "it was because he was speeding". At that time I had all my windows tinted on my car for over 3 years and was never pulled over. I was only ever pulled for for a burnt out headlight(the plug came loose from the housing I found later) when I first started driving.
I've never had buyers remorse to when it came to tinting. It's something I've always liked on my vehicles. I just found on my last car(pre Tacoma) that it was a little dangerous driving at night and backing up etc(small hatchback windows). But to anyone who gets them done. Find out how dark they're going to be before you do it. Some places should be able to show you on sample glass how dark it's going to possibly look like. If you feel that it's too dangerous then get the fronts removed. I'd still keep the backs tinted though.

What? Pics or you didnt do it?!?!?

I have 10% because 5% was pointless in trying to drive at night and 5% on windshield.

The fact that he used the word "glued" makes me wonder if he did it or not either.

Someone after this posted that the tinter probably didn't care, so are we going to harp on the gas stations that sell blunt wrappers and those cute little roses inside the glass vase with the chorboy right next to them????
I have 5 % all the way around, I could easily get a dr's note.
Back on topic, definitely get reverse lights, and a camera. You will get used to it and you should ALWAYS pay the closest attention whether you windows are tinted or not.

I have learned to live with it just because I like the way it looks. I just roll my windows down when backing up at night. I have 5 on the doors, the back is something like 15 to match the fronts, and the windshield is like 40 with a strip too.

I had dark tint on an 86 Camry I had. It was always a pain at night and if I remeber correctly I got a ticket for having it to dark.
I've never had another car tinted since, and to be honest I don't miss it.

I've got 15% Llumar Ceramic on the back and sides of my Tacoma. I decided to stay at 15 to make it easier to drive at night. I have 5% on my Cherokee XJ but I found that it's tough to drive at night time in the rain. Like other's have said, rolling the windows down helps to back up but when it's pouring out it sucks.

Id take the tint off and go lighter. You are asking to get pulled over. especially in the OC.

It looks sweet for sure, but I wouldn't want to have to roll down my windows every time I put my truck in reverse :)

Your entire windshield is 50% tint?

I remember years back when I was a state inspector in Texas. I pissed off so many people when I would fail them on their inspection because their tint didn't pass. I told them that if they wanted to pay my $10,000 fine and spend the 2 years in jail for me for passing them, then ok, I would pass them! lol.

    5% all around, derp'd wheels, FMS40, 30" E-Series, 55w 6k bi's, 35w 5k fogs
i have 5% (box said 4 but whatever) on everything, including over the rear factory tinted windows and have had it for well over a year, my 07, i had 5% for over 2 years. I don't have a problem with it, its something you get used to. I happen to love tint, and have a tinted windshield and a very deep tint brow as well. Windshield and deep brow isn't for everyone, but I happen to like it, so deal with it

(dont mention the legality, blah blah blah blah, heard it all before)

Also, I have a pair of lightforce 170 strikers mounted on my backrack w/ flood lenses pointed backwards, sometimes when its REALLY dark, i'll pop those on, they certainly help. pair of LED's in or under the bumper would certainly help the factory reverse candle lights though

This is my old truck, 5 on everything, 32% windshield on overcast day

Check out my Build to See!
I have my rear window and the 2 access cab windows with 5%. The front is 35% . Front is great but like you said backing up at night sucks... i sometimes will have to open my back sliding window so i wont hit anything....sucks. Some day I will have it replaced with a lighter tint. 35 or 25 since it came slightly tinted from the factory
