Also interested in bed lighting when you get around to it. But I very much want the option for bed lighting to be hard wired.

 

Would changing the LED to a different kind work? Im sure you guys already thought about the cree leds and such. Im just throwing things out now. ..haha

But ill wait for the cased version! And maybe something that will get the power sourve from the car battery like your other product.

 

All items will begin assembly & test today and should ship tommorrow.

 

Changing LEDs could potentially help with brightness however, battery life could (would likely) be affected adversly.

Based on inital tests for their intended purpose, the feedback has been quite positive regarding brightness.

Maybe I missed it, but what kind of battery life is expected from one of the 3vp's?

They haven't been on the market all that long but, if I had to guess, I'd say over 2 years.

Only time will tell.

 

All 3VPs ordered between 9/28 and 9/30 have been shipped.

Any plans on making a wired version? Figured it could tap into the lights by the auto shifter or somewhere else on the center console.

You can see the magnet on the hinge. Would be preferable for the lights to point down but it works OK.

At the moment, they are only built in Arizona - we will however, have them available by year's end in VA as well. Perhaps, sooner.

I am planning to send a shipment of 3VPs to VA and NY very soon. We might still be able to save you the shipping if you can wait a few extra days?

Thanks Darren! I tried a number of spots but had issues since the vault is all steel. If I used the included magnetic pad, the light seemed to work in reverse (actuation magnet actually turned the light on).

Since the light already has a magnet on the back, it sticks to the vault just fine.

 

Interesting...

Is it switching properly without the magnetic base???
