So you are sticking out almost two inches more then a stock rim. Considering my hand isn't two inches thick, and i could BARELY fit my hand in there...

That's the trick. I read every single page of this thread, and came to the conclusion that stock wheels have the best chance of fitting, and km2's have the best chance of fitting. Lifts just give you longer travel, so the tire should fit at stock height. They did, they did, and they do.

WOOT! Someone gets it. So tired of the "I'm gonna lift it, what's the biggest tire I can get" syndrome.

There's not enough bandwidth for what's happening.
I plan to. They have been difficult to locate with backorders with several area dealers here. If the Toyos don't materialize by the end of the month, I'm going with KM2's.

I didn't read all 73 pages but has anyone else had the same problem as me? Now that I have these tires on my truck sometimes when I go around a turn my ABS/TC will kick on and hit my brakes for me. It's very irritating. Other than that I love these tires.

Im not sure if I remember this correctly, but I thought this could happen if the wires on the abs stuff got pinched or stretched due to the lift. I don't know why it would happen with just the tires, but this isn't the first time I have heard of this.

I wish I would have know about this 10 days ago. Now have a set of Coope ST in 255/85 on order at Discount Tire (money already spent).

Doesn't surprise me. Goodyear and MOST Manufacturers will not risk anything in these times of corporate control of every phase of everything. They would have to be able to prove that the 255/85R16 will sell 10,000 tires (or some pre-calculated quantity where they make X dollars profit) in the first six months of production or it just does not make sense to them to risk the investment of funds for new molds in this size plus tearing down machinery thus stopping production of existing sizes.

I have a set of Cooper ST in this size on order at Discount Tire as this is about the only All Terrain tread in this size that makes sense for my application. I have Dura-Trac in 265/75R16 on the truck now and they are great but I want to try the tall & skinny tires, so Cooper it is! By the way Cooper told me they will have the Maxx tire in this size later this year. I was ready to buy NOW.

I just could not justify a M/T pattern tire for pavement use which is in reality where most of my miles will occur.

    I would sell my 255 KM2's for 255 MT-R's instantly.

    not so much for durataracs
