Got the brake lines wrapped up. Wish I would have went with one lone hose from the frame to the "t" fitting but oh well.

All hoses clip into factory style retainers with clips as well.

I ran a hose from frame to link, then a hose from link to the axle housing.

oh, i see what you mean. i thought you were saying you ran two hoses from the frame to the axle, and got slightly confused. so would have rather run a single piece of soft line to the T? just to avoid the hose clamp mounts?

    Hello NwiTaco,

I saw your customer feedback on the HF winch mounting plate. I'm also from NWI (Crown Point). I'm overseas right now and haven't even seen my 02 4wd TRD/OR yet. My son did the leg work to buy it for me. I've been researching MANY hours on winch/mounting options. I'm wanting to keep the weight and cost down and keep the original bumper. Is there a durable way to do a hidden mount without buying the Curt front mount hitch? Do you mount winches? What would that cost? Thanks, Goose.

Yeah I have a buddy that just did this to his 1st gen, so I could do it similar to his. I will try to find a few pics and post them here for you. Really its just metal and I can do just about anything with it.

Depending on what you want to do with your truck in the end, you may want to consider a new bumper altogether, as the stock one severely limits approach angle.

Either way you want to go, I can get you squared away. Most people tell me I work too cheap, but its really hard to get an idea on price until I take a look at what it would involve.

When are you getting back stateside?

Well buttoned up the power steering system last night...finally. What a PITA! Three orders to jegs and one huge return of fittings...but its done, check it off the list!

Also picking up my rear driveshaft after work today.

    So tonight its:

weld the rear spring perches and shock tabs
finish hard brake lines on rear axle
    extend tcase wiring
clean and paint last two beadlocks

then exhaust next week maybe and drive this beast :D

Also since my driveshafts are all finished up and I didn't use any of my old ones, I have some more for sale.

-Front driveshaft, stock, perfect working condition. $50 plus shipping
-Rear section for DCSB, re-tubed with .083 wall and balanced, good u-joints, (small chip on one ear of the axle flangeyoke does not affect usability at all). $50 plus shipping (cost me $125 to retube )

When you say rear section, do you mean only the section after the carrier bearing? And I don't know metals really... is .083 factory or is it much stronger than factory?

We are due back on Oct 14, flying in to South Bend and traveling to Crown Point probably a couple of days after that. Then the next week driving to Maine for a couple of weeks. It would be great to have you take a look at the truck and get your advice. Maybe we could PM but not sure yet how that works.

Factory is .065" wall thickness, I always retube to .083". If you go too thick for a street driven vehicle it can become difficult to balance the driveshaft.

Yes, just the portion from the slipyoke back, the part you take out with the rocks wheeling
