Citrus Meet......!

Ah, okay. So it was basically the one that you tried and didn't make it where Fuwaz got stuck in the puddle right before it and the one that Thomas and I came down on the other end (I wanna try going up that one)? Those were two of the ones I was thinking would be too much for 2WD. The other ones...one was the one I went down after you fought your way to the top of the one hill by the mud hole. The first leg of it that you guys saw wasn't too bad. The second leg of it...it was too long, too steep, and too slippery. I don't think I could make it up with my truck, though I might be surprised.

 

Why not push it a week in either direction?

 

Ya know, if you guys really wanna try Hardrock, maybe they'll give ya a group rate. Can't hurt to call'em up and ask.

 

This. But I wouldn't be surprised if the gate at the campground was closed up. Not that it matters for me though, not a fan of camping there in the WIDE OPEN.

Isn't that another state forest, where there will be more hunters?

 

Yeah It is I know I went camping out in the ocala national forest in the middle of hunting season with out any problems just had a couple of dogs run deer through my campsite

 

We just need to do a better job planning for next year. We should plan on the last weekend of October and a weekend in January each year.
I'm really not comfortable bringing my kids and wife out during hunting season.

Well, with this one being a bust, would someone please step up and handle the January meet so we don't have any issues with that one. I doubt we will, the January one usually goes fairly smooth, just need someone to step up to set it up.


Looks like I will now be checking out "The compound" down in Palm Bay the first weekend of November. That should be interesting.

Down near Melbourne. About 1 1/2 away from me.

 

humm, you planin on camping out and is anyone else going?

 

There's at least 1 or 2 locals to that area that should be there. I am currently looking for camp grounds down there, but might also consider a hotel. Not sure yet.

 

Keep the plans posted because I might be willing to make the drive. And if you do a camp ground I'll split it with ya

 

Yeah I've been at ONF during hunting season and it sucked. At noon they all hung out eating and drinking on the trails so I kept having to slow down. And then you have a bunch of hicks (and I guess a few regular people) running g around trying to shoot one of the two bucks out there. Public hunting grounds scare me for sure.

The state moved the opening back to the first weekend on the web site... It always opened on the first weekend on or after Nov 4.. Just a few days ago in still said Nov 9 was opening day but now says Nov 2..Bet they got a bunch of shit Ph. call over the 9th..For the red necks you can move the Daytona 500. you can say his dog is ugly and his wife is a whore but move opening day of hunting season back a week and you have a fight on you hands!!!!
