I need to be that guy..but i think..with offroad and rally racing haha

well..I don't think Frankenstein will get that. Not while its 4wd. And it'll stay 4wd. But...i would like a truck like that..pick up a beat up 80 toyota for that though. Cut it to pieces. Center mount front Arms, mid mount motor. 4 link rear. yesssssss

also..i haven't..what the hell am i looking at? Like..3 link..but whats the little shock by the axle??

Sounds like that's part of an axle wrap control

I mainly posted that pic to show you that mini air shock. He's using it for wrap control it seems. its at like 350 psi

Though couldn't you just run a bar with heims on both ends back to the main beam near were the shock mounts from the axle and have a solid mount to eliminate axle wrap?

Yea but i bet that little shocks reduces body roll..but not suspension travel. The Heim bar would just like a stock sway bar up front on our trucks.

No idea though..im still trying to understand how it works..

Ther are frame plates and gussets. Guests are the triangles.

The flat frame plate is for the front plate as if it had a bottom you would have to cut it anyways cause the factory crossmember for the tranny or something is in the way. I was one of the last to get all j frame plates.

    See:

if they are 3/16th plates i might have enough flat plate left over to make a couple

haha well..the paint is just gonna bubble and peal off from the heat..

and you NEED a clean all metal surface for MIG welding. Only Arc welding can cut through paint, rust, grease..really anything..and get a good weld.

MIG is VERY picky. The cleaner the surface..the better. Doesn't mean you need to go at it with a tooth brush to wash it down..but it need ground or sanded so its super shiney before being welded.

for joints, you usually make points so you can fill the area with weld.

so you might as well get rid of all the paint on the gussets and plates haha you'll need the edges clean about 1/2'' in or so of paint and about 1/8'' of pure ground down metal. The heat will just destroy the rest of the paint.
