Like I said. Nikons always appear more sharp. But the colors seem better on canons. Just my opionion tho

 

anyone still shoot real film around here!?

My dad has an old pentax with a few lenses I told him I wanted to play with.

 

I have a Pentax K1000 that I need to shoot more, but I believe it has an issue with feeding the film. I really want to get my grandfather's older Nikon film camera and shoot around with it.

My dream is to have a Hassy 500C and a Canon 7s with the 50mm f.95

 

^hmmm i'll post up if I can get him to bring it out with him when he visits later this month! He was excited to hear I was learning a bit about photography and was quick to chat about his old cam I think that would be so fun to shoot with a "real" camera!

 

My dad still has his Canon A1. Bunch of lenses to. I bought an adapter to fit them on my 60D. hard to use though. All manual exposure and focus. And the adapter adds another 1.6x to the crop

hmm yea i know i can probably get his lenses to fit on the 60d but it will mess with the crop and everything else. I'll for sure post if I get some shots thru his "dusty" old glass

 

yea man! you can play with it next time your up. Pretty cool. And the lenses and my adapter.

they do look "dirty" though haha sadly the 35mm he has i think is broke..but have like a 70-200, 500, another one..and something else too..

Still got my Nikon FG I started with. Amazes me how I put it in a box and after all these years a piece fell off that held the shutter button in and is no where to be found. I also still have all my darkroom equipment. 3 enlargers From 35mm up to 4x5. A pinhole camera I made in high school that uses 4x5 film and some way out of date chemicals. I even have a color processor in there. Out of all the films I've played with over the years Ilford and Kodak tri-x had to be my favorites. Making color prints from slide film was the biggest pain in the ass out of them all though.

 

B&W 2 1/4(120) is where its at

 

Medium format has always been where it's at. The awesome thing now is its dirt cheap with film. Digital it outrageous though. Omg!
