Hope you get your truck back, but being that you're in Texas, my bet is your truck has already long been sent to Mexico.

The best we can figure is that they either had a key for it (I still have all of mine). Or they backed a wrecker up to it and took it. I was in shock when I came out and it was gone. A day later I was mad as heOOO. Then I started figuring out how much I had in the truck...parts and personal items. I learned several lessons.
I really hate thieves!!! And really hope karma tears them a new one some day.

My friend put one of these in his car and it works even if the car is inside a warehouse. Tracks it within feet of actual location. It's very small and hidden very well.

My dealer installed a LoJack in my truck with one-year complimentary service. I continued the subscription afterwards. Of course it's defeatable if the thief has a high-powered cell phone jammer.

Unfortunately, in all likelihood the truck is either in parts or shipped to Mexico by now.

Stolen on the 27 of last month. Not a word on the truck yet. HOwever the thieves have tried using some of my checks that were in a checkbook inside the truck. Insurance co. paid me for the truck...4k less than what I had in it. You always loose what you added . Now I have to do the dance for the contents which were 4500 worth of tools. That is covered by homeowners insurance. 1000 deductible. Either way you cut it, you are screwed when someone takes your vehicle. Men keep their stuff in their trucks. Women keep their stuff in their purse. I did have a vhesmart device installed in my new one. So I know where it is anytime I want to look it up on my cell or internet link. First year free, 9.50/m afterwards. It is burried deep in my dash! Runs off my 12v batt and has a back up batt that last 16 hours.

The way they do it in Quebec is with the VIN # that you can get from the dash. Everyone is on the take up there, the cops, the dealerships... they come and get your VIN #, then they have their partner who works at a dealer make them a chipped key. It's gotten so bad for snowmobile tourism in Quebec that they specifically tell you to make sure you cover your VIN # before you park for the night.

Sucks to hear this. Vehicle theft is just a "property crime" in the eyes of law enforcement and the courts, it is often pushed to the back burner to use resources and court time for "violent crimes/crimes against people". When a conviction is made ,again its viewed as "just a stolen property case" so punishments are not harsh.

    Man, I hate thieves.

Unfortunately, if someone really wants your vehicle that bad, they're likely gonna get it. That's why I never leave valuables inside my vehicles.

Of course, I have a locked garage with hurricane doors, so unless the thief has explosives, he probably ain't getting in my garage. If he does somehow get into my garage, he'll be leaving in a body bag. Castle Doctrine FTW.
