Get the whole ford rolling chassis and put the taco body on. Chevy guys put S10 bodies on full size frames quite a bit.

 

That's my plan IF the 3.4 ever goes

sweet, i could either SC my truck or swap in a subie and mod it.
stock subie (265 hp) and 331 N·m (244 lb·ft)
stock 3.4, 190 hp with 220 lb·ft (298 Nm)

i forgot about the solid axle, if he was a pre runner and kept the prerunnerness the CO's or ORI's would work.

I saw a video of a 4bt swapped into a late 90's explorer, sounded good, and it (supposedly) got good mileage.

 

I would turbo or supercharge long before going through all the trouble of an engine swap. But a diesel taco is still fappable.

 

There's a red 02 extra cab on YT with a 4bt. It's a pretty loud motor. Knocks like hell

 

Hey if you never ask the question, then how do you learn? I've gotten that a lot from 4x4 shops. "Um if you have to ask maybe you should just let us do it" lol then I come back a week later and tell them they sold me the wrong part and they get all up tight cause they were wrong in the first place. Haha

 

Found a sweet unbeaten path that was abandoned for snow and dirt, So fun! And its public property. Dont rip up the road and just ride was what the cop said

 

And remember large scale custom projects rarely go smoothly or work perfectly the first time.

 

Mall rated poser skid plates are ready. I have enough cardboard for a few full sets.

I forgot to pick up some flex seal at walmart to waterproof it.

 

I built a full LT truck from the frame up as my first mechanical project and I hadn't done much car work before that.
I learned by taking it apart and asking questions.

 

Step 1. Remove everything that makes the truck functional.
Step 2. Now figure out how to put it back together.
