2013 NCAA Football Thread

JJ Green is good, but he's not Gurley. Kid had like 127 yards last weekend. But, if Gurley doesn't play this weekend, I don't think we win. I just don't want him to rush back and be out the rest of the year.

I know you're not supposed to use injuries as an excuse, but there comes a time when you're without practically all your star players, you gotta think if you lose, that's pretty much the reason.

We're down to basically our #3 & 4 RB, #4, 5 and 6 WR. That's an issue.

 

Oh yea, forgot to mention Rumph (WR). Hasn't played a single game this year. Hamstring issue, I think. He was supposed to be one of the top 2 WRs for us this year.

 

I bet we lose to Florida. I fully expect it, actually.

 

I think (this isn't just because of my hate for SC) that either UGA or UF will win the east. The best thing that happened to Florida was Driskel getting hurt. I think they beat us, then they beat SC 2 weeks later.

 

That means we have a shot I realistically think, if we play them like we did LSU for 3 quarters, that we can win.

 

Clowney is playin for that NFL contract right now. Just don't get hurt any worse than you already are, and you'll get a big contract. But, I think he's taking a lot of money out of his own pockets.

 

I hope the Texans steer clear of him.

 

If the game was in Starkvegas, perhaps, but in their house, I'm very doubtful...

 

Yep, but St. is only 7 1/2 pt favs over Bowling Green St. at their own house this week. They'll be 10-14 point dogs on the road at SC. Don't get me wrong, I hope they smoke the chickens, just not a believer...

 

And lost them all.

Bowling Green is 5-1. They deserve some credit for how they've played.

We've played well up to this point, IMO. We'll find out about how good we are over the next few weeks. Technically, we could still have a nine win season. Our secondary needs to heal up and our coverage against the pass needs to improve, but the chickens haven't looked hot the past few weeks.

As for our opponents, Okie State has fallen on their faces the past few weeks, but they're still a tough team. Auburn is much better than advertised and we should have beat them. We played LSU tough for 50 minutes until our defense finally gave in and our offense crapped the bed. I still think we can beat USC.
