Yesterday and today:

Brakes: rotors and pads
Icon 2.5 ext travel COs with resis to front
Icon 2.0 ext travel with resis to rear
Paint / black out radiator and misc areas
Paint grill
Black out headlights
Bed line and install Brute Force hybrid

Just finished a couple if hours ago, hence the crappy night pic ...

 

Made out like a bandit at the off road expo in Pomona !
And just finished installing my "race radio"

And very quickly learning I know nothing about ham vs VHS vs UHF and this radio doesn't show channels, but only channel names.... Confused to say the least.
But hey the weather channel comes in clear...

Got a Deaver leaf pack, KING 2.5 extended travel rear with resi and total chaos UCA's for my KING coilovers with resi up front on the way and I can't effin wait to get em all put on!

 

I've seen several people complain about them, but I think the work just fine

Did you get a free console cover or cleaning kit when you bought the WO from Autoanything?

 

Mine sucked, I couldn't get oil to stick to it for a good read at all. I had to scuff it up a bit.

 

Neither, the console cover looks ghetto IMO and didn't want clean kit.
I prefer free shipping which is what I got.

Yeah, we used to hang it out the back of the wife's Tahoe but I decided to throw it on my truck this year. Been doing it for years the month of October, get quite a few double-takes, and a few ppl freaking out a little.

 

There's a great tailgate decal that makes it look like you have someone bound up in the bed with no tailgate...

 

I wish my Tacoma came with this accessory.



Oh washed and waxed her too. Nothing beats the feel of smooth paint, except for large breasts in your hands.

I used a Dremel tool to add hash marks so the oil would stick to the metal some.

 

What attachment did U use on the Dremel ?

 

Just a thin cone shaped stone that was in the assortment of bits I got.

i did this to my old corolla, and i used the flappy disk i believe 120 grit on my drill. It worked but i also am interested for the tacoma.

Would you have a picture of the finished product?

 

I had some trouble with this too but only after using an oil extractor through the dipstick hole to change the oil.

I found shoving the dipstick in and pulling it out quick gave me an accurate reading. Going slow the dipstick was just covered in oil from one end to the other.
