I've got a 4x4 but no one in florida drives anything but a silver streak double cab prerunner. Maybe a trd sport sometimes but always 2wd

Traded the 2015 TRD Pro 6spd Supercharged on a PowerWagon and could not be happier. My 2011 Tacoma with the TX Baja package (Added by me) is still treating me great. My 1985 Toyota never skips a beat.
4x4 is the answer. it helps you go, and who cares about stopping? thats what other cars, pedestrians, small children in bad nieghborhoods, and airbags are for.

There are some wicked bad ass prerunners out there, but 90 percent of badass trucks are 4x4.

    or doing the math "auto lsd"= 1.5, 4 wheels = 2, elocker= .5.... 1.5+.5+2=4x4=16

All jokes aside, if you have ever pulled a trailer in the snow.. like i have, many times. You will know, without a shadow of a doubt 4x4 and trailer brakes will save your ass.

Ive also drove a civic hundreds of miles in serious snow storms. It doesnt take a genious to know 4x4 isnt reqiured but damn its good to have. and like someone else mentioned, if it saves your ass .05 percent of the time its worth every red cent! I have been stuck in a blizzard in the back of a truck, in the ditch with no power (engine fire) and i promise you, its not fun.

I believe it's just more of an intellectual trait. There are other things in the world that are often proved to be false though, such as growing more mature with age. :)

I've had 15 different Toyota trucks and every one of them has been 4 wheel drive. I have a few friends who live in places where occasionally 4 wheel drive is required to get to their house certain times of the year when there isn't snow and forget it when there is. Not to mention I commute 90 miles a day regardless of weather. Not once have I called in due to weather.

    Of course not, lol

I mean, i have been stranded shit out of luck, it sucks..

Not that you can't get stranded with 4x4, but its certainly nice to have :)

And unless im pulling a trailer, i generally drive in 2wd in the winter/snow. I save 4wd for the situations its required. Or to have fun with.
