Not the best of bike to use by any means, in fact one of the worst for all day comfort but my soon to be 45 year old body did 522 miles on the R6 Friday! I left Santa Rosa at 4AM. It was actually 69 degress that morning in SR. Then took hwy 37 to I-80, then north on 113, then zig zagged over to 99 to hwy 70. Freezing my ass off once I got to the bottom of the Sierra's at Oroville and damn near blown off interstate 80 by horrible cross wind gusts several times, in fact the whole trip there was wind non stop, all 12.5 hours of it.

Was sitting at the top of the Sierra's around 10AM. Did one lap around Antelope lake which is where we went camping every year when I was a kid, then south on hwy 70 through Quincy, then historic HWY 49 all the way south to Placerville, then a few miles west to my parents house where I crashed (slept) that night. Then the next day was an additional 130 miles to get back home, so about 650 miles in total.

I'm actually going to do this ride again next summer, as I screwed up and hooked up with hwy 49 about 10 miles west of where I meant to. Thank God I didn't get lost. The other route will go even further north to Red Bluff where I take hwy 36 all the way over to Janesville and come up the back side to the lake.

I saw a few guys riding BMW's up to the dam just as I was leaving the lake. They must have been shocked to see a crotch rocket up there in the 40 degrees temps with hurricane winds at 10AM on a Friday LOL.

    Props to you sir.

With the ergos of a R6 & that amount of seat time, I would have been in a chiropractors
    office for a week.

:D Agreed....anything over 2 hours on my Busa and my back was toast. And I sold it for that reason.

Oh a Busa would have been so much nicer than my R6 for a long haul like that. Especially since HWY 49 was nowhere as twisty as I thought it would be. Lots of fast sweepers though.

If people say a sportbike is uncomfortable, I usually say pedal my road bike for 65 miles, it will make any sportbike feel like a Lazy Boy chair.

It never bothers my back, just my ass bone/pelvis area, knees somewhat and mostly my wrists.
