Maybe I'm missing something here, but your first post said adjustable coil overs.

This means that you can adjust the preload on your springs, and therefore raise and lower the nose of your truck.

You can also choose which springs to get, such as 600lb or 800lb springs, which require more or less preload.

The rear springs discussed also all have different pre-load values, so the highest preload will cause the greatest height.

I have adjustable coil overs and AAL in the read as well as air-bags in the rear and can adjust both the front and rear up and down, depending on my needs.

What are you trying to do?

Keep my 3" lift level look without the spacer by actually having a real suspension.

Sorry I seem so difficult. I just don't want to make any mistakes or most importantly and regrets after this purchase.

UCWMS; ICON Stg 1 Adjustable Coil Overs ~3" lift/shocks; Diff drop Spacers; Light Racing UCAs, Firestone Airbags
    I just purchased the following:

OME 3" lift with 885 springs
    OME 90000 Front shocks
    OME 60091 Rear shocks
Full length add a leaf (2") as norm in the kit
    top spacer plates
    Diff drop spacers
    Light Racing UCAs..

I went with all OME parts, because when I had my 98 Taco, I did the 3" lift with ome springs and shocks/AAL, and it road very well and looked just right (level) with the OME stuff. so I wanted to do the same with the 08.

    Once complete, I'll post pics.

    Good luck with your decision!

I did. lol. Ditching the spacer... even though the trash talk is usually from people that have never had them. A upgrade is in order because my truck has 140,000 miles.

I bought the 5100's and the 885's for the front and the 5160's for the rear. I just got the front coils back from powder coating and am putting them on soon. I am reading all over the forums that people are setting the 5100's to zero and adding the top plate spacer to get a full 3" in the front.

I am adding the 2" rear Deavers AAL. Is there anyone that is running the same setup set at zero?

I just want the 3" "level look".

Any pics of trucks set at zero would be very much good too!

I just want the 3" "level look".

Thanks! I plan on wrapping a 24oz can of Bud Light on the rear reservoir. The blue that I had powder coated matches the can color. Should be pretty cool I think.

Here is a pic of mine. I have the Eibachs in the front with the 5100s set at .85 and the same add a leaf in the rear with the stock hight 5100s that are in fact too short if you take the truck off road. Both of mine are puking.:anonymous:

Thats why I went with the OME 885's. Alot of people are using the 885's because of the double cab. And do you have the top plate spacer as well?

I love my set-up!!! OME 885x springs with the trim packer on driver side. and then 1/4" top plate spacers for a full 3" lift..
In the rear I went with wheelersoffroad 1.5" lift 3-leaf progressive AAL for a better ride. The single AAL's ride really rough. I also kept my overload leaf in so I actually have 2"s of lift in the rear.
All this with OME shocks. and the ride is awsome!

I believe my lift setup has my rear just barely higher in the rear, but not much. It looks pertty level..

I do think you will regret the single AAL lift, It rides rough... GL

Is that for the "taco lean"? I have top plate spacers but I was never introduced to have a trim packer...

I am just running the 1/4 inch top spacer on the driver side for the lean. I think you will get a better ride with the 885 where the Eibachs are a little stiff. Eventually I am going to up grade to coil overs in the front and Dakars in the rear.

I ended up with 2 top plate spacers. Should I only use one on the drivers side and none on the passenger side?

What you mean set it on zero? Shouldn't you set it to the 2 1/2 key hole then add the spacer plate for the dbl cab for full 3 " ?
