Hi everybody. Quick poll. My tacoma is being delivered sometime this week and the window sticker for a 2009 4x4 Reg Cab is 17 city 22 highway, a little concerning for a 4 banger. I would like to know some of YOUR numbers.

    thanks

I average about 19.. 20.5 if i do highway. I blame that on Ethanol.. Probably doing damage to the motor as well.

There's no option for if you get 20MPG?

I get 19 city and 20-21 HWY, but I've got some bigger tires and I'm a lead foot.

I checked my mileage yesterday and it was 20.5 with mixed driving and some AC use. During the winter months I was as low as 18. I still have not taken a long freeway trip to see what my top mpg would be, but I would guess it would be about 23-24. Someday I'll find out.

Don't be too disapointed if your truck doen't get very good gas mileage the week after you drive it off the lot. It can take awhile for the engine to break in and for the computer to calibrate itself. On that note, take it easy on that engine until after the first oil change :).

Yup. 4x4 access cab. I tend to stay 65-70mph on the highway and use 5th gear on back roads. Had a 05 V6 6spd 4x4 AC and averaged 20-21mpg year round.

You need to tell me how you are getting 7 mpg more than I am in the same truck. I would love to get 27 MPG.
