    XXX is gonna hate this, but I think this is close to what's happening in BUF where a GM has been getting by for years with awful decisions, and the guys below him pay for it. As Jordan said above, Lavy did an awesome job with the shitty hands he was dealt.

    Ed Snider is a corporate asshat who imagines himself a hockey mastermind. Snider is responsible for the Carter/Richards/Bryz fiascos. Snider keeps cronies in the g.m. position so they won't object to his meddling. Holmgren is the perfect company man and does Snider's bidding without complaint. Snider is an insufferable buffoon who is incapable of admitting he needs an outsider to come in and show him how its done. The Flyers are Ed Snider's team. They are his hobby and his toy. Berube is a coach the players will go to war for. If the Flyers have as good a roster as they think they do Berube will be successful. As a Flyer fan I am afraid I will have to out live the incredible Chairman of the board of Comcast Spectacor,Mr. Ed Snider before I will ever see another cup raised in Philly.
