Well I will agree guys naturally are perverted when they are 13-18 and sometimes men don't outgrow it. I will say we could have less threads with chicks in bikinis save it for the green room area. I wholeheartedly agree with you. But you must remember that we are on the internet. Do some of these individuals act this immature or perverse in real life? Probably. But I'd say most act this way on the internet solely because it's the internet. I personally find myself in a more perverse state of mind when on the web, mostly due to the fact that I am typically alone and pretty much anonymous when I'm at my computer.

And then somebody posts a picture of a really good looking half naked chick, and I'm like: Well, that was in no way relevant to these coilovers, but now I'm aroused.

I'm glad somebody finally addressed this on this forum, but "guys will be guys" as they say. I'm sure most keep it to themselves in their daily life, but everybody will loosen up when hanging with the guys, especially after a few beers. I'd like to ask: is "shooting bull with the guys" not the environment we want to foster on this forum? This is a serious question, and I am in no way excluding women on this forum, and I really do agree that the NSFW posts should not exist here.

My girlfriend likes to give me shit about TW saying it's immature, as she perceives it as a bunch of dudes trying to get an ego boost by posting pictures of their badass trucks, to garner respect or recognition. I am in no way under the impression that this is what Tacomaworld is about.

Being on a mostly male TRUCK forum, I know that a lot of us women who actually stay here look the other way when we see this happen.

It doesn't offend me personally (unless it's scantily dressed women or woman parts - people have children that pass the computer) but it does kind of get old.

I know a lot of it stems from the e-chest thumping thing of being behind a keyboard and it's also an outlet for guys who really do secretly see women in person who they would really like to "hit", but won't say it out loud, in person.

So here, it goes without saying that guys are guys. It's like being in a bar. Someone sees a pretty gal, leans over to his buddy and makes a comment. But the buddy has to out do him and say something more brash.

But yeah. It gets old. But I'm not complaining. I just ignore it.

 

Love Tacoma World, I hardly ever look at other sites or forums unless linked through TW. I could live without all the t&a, along with the immature bs that accompanies it. Every time I show my wife or kids something funny or interesting I have to include a warning not to scroll page. I know TW has a better place for those NSFW images, I have been there, and it's even worse than up here as far as immaturity. Totally unnecessary for a truck forum IMO.

 

I agree with these. It does get old and is immature. I love showing my family and girlfriend some cool stuff on here, but I always tell them to not go anywhere else or them to look at what I show them and snatch my computer from them real quick so they don't see the stupid crap.

 

Especially near nude girls, KCCO examples, alcohol, and miley cyrus the giraffe.

 

I know my parents generation is/was a lot more mature in the way they conducted themselves.
