Not bitching about the loss to Stanford. I'm super proud of my dogs. But something needs to be done as far as rules committees to take care of this faking injury bullshit. Skov is a pussy in my book. Pretty weak shit from somebody that thinks they are tough. Is it a coincidence that two Stanford players got injured in Washington's final drive with 1:30 left? But then they happened to be fine the next play. The two Injury timeouts helped and both players returned next play. Here is one. Weak. Commentary on video is pretty spot on.

I think the best way to take care of it would be to require injured or "injured" players to be checked out and must pass a medical examination on the sideline and sit out for three to four plays.

I agree. Mandatory bench for at least 10 plays on same side of ball. Some rule needs to be made because this is not good for the sport.

I don't think 10 plays is necessary. At most I would do is 5.

Its for the players benefit too. On the flip side a rather serious injury can at times be overlooked if players want to keep playing (like most do in the face of adrenaline). I think mandatory check by team doctor is appropriate too.

That's what I would be concerned with, some stubborn fool who thinks he is fine when he might have a serious injury.

I'm not that worried about our running game against Mizzou. I think Green has proved he can carry the load and Douglas is pretty tough too. I'm more worried about the wr's. We still have good talent with Conely, Wooten, and Davis, and add Lynch in there too. I never understood why we didn't go to Lynch Sat.

But the question to me is who will step up? I know we have some talent on the bench that were probably red shirting. :notsure: So will they get to play and how big can they step up? We also have Rumph which was talked up big in the spring but has had a hamstring problem and as far as I know isn't able to go this week.

Gurley will be back, just a matter of how the passing game holds up imo. But I'm more and more disgusted in our D. I'm beginning to think we need to start thinking about a new DC. One of my bosses who is a UT guy says that they are nothing more than a hs team and their qb is nothing and we made him look like a Heisman candidate. (his words)

I mean you could blame it on the youth but explain last year then. 7 NFL guys and still way underachieved.

Not sure if this is good news or bad?

Georgia confirms that receiver Michael Bennett has a torn meniscus and will undergo surgery tomorrow. His timetable for return has not been set.

The typical timeframe for recovery with surgery is around three to six weeks.

Meniscus tears can be more severe or pretty benign. Usually a small flap that impinges with motion. They go in with scope and shave down the flap and clean up synovitits. They typically start Range of Motion right away and can be weight bearing. Pretty easy procedure, depending on severity you can't really do any damage returning to activity soon. You just need the arthroscopic portals to be healed and sutures removed (2 weeks) and be clear of any signs of infection.

Some flags and center console divider... lots of things on the wanted list.
I need to get mine looked at as well. Mine pops pretty bad whenever I do a decent turn on the knee.

Anyway, you going tailgating to the game? It is going to be College game day.

Working on TG options right now. We have some friends there but not sure if I want to just have a good seat in my house or TG in AM and then race to see the game on TV. Won't be going to the game due to not having tickets and not wanting to pay a fortune to try and get them here on time from stub hub.

I wasn't meaning that in the sense of the injury but as in the timetable for return. It's good that it's not season ending, yet we need him back now.

Same way. 100 bucks for nose bleeds isn't what I want either. The wife and I are thinking of going for the CGD part. That'll be over by 10. Gives me 3 hours to make it home to watch the game on tv. Right now the weather says it'll be nice this weekend.

My whole point of rambling was to let you know its arbitrary not a serious surgery. IMO he could play after about 12 days depending on pain and swelling.

I posted the info I saw on SDS on facebook, and my buddy that's the Graduate Offensive Assistant for UGA was quick to tell me that it was false. He said the extent of the damage won't be known until tomorrow when he has the scope. So I don't know where SDS is getting their info from. He's actually in the organization, so I trust his info more than SDS.
