    Saw one the other day and fell in love. I'd love a WW2 era BMW but they're out of my price range, this seems like a decent alternative.

    Strangely, I really like that! Where do you get one of those?

    I cant see the pic. But you should check out royal enfield motorcycles, they look like a 40s British motorcycle but you can buy new ones for a pretty reasonable price.

    I've always wanted one. Unfortunately they're getting pretty expensive too.

    I only want one with the driven wheel on the hack though.

    I want to bomb around in the snow in the winter with a monkey!

    It's a Russian made bike. I live in the DFW area and there are at least 2 dealerships that sell them. Brand new they go for $7-10,000 I believe, depending on if you want the side car or not. They're notoriously unreliable though but apparently for most owners that's part of the charm. But they're supposed to be incredibly simple and easy to work on which suits me just fine.

    That's cool, I'm ok with not fast. I'd just like something to tinker with and putt around on the weekends on the back country roads near my house

    I will say. If you ride by yourself a lot with the sidecar you should put ballast weight in it cause making a right turn with no weight in it is scary lol

    There's a pretty dedicated group of Ural enthusiasts in just about every state, from what I've seen. These guys even go winter camping with them!

    V.T. Cycles in Poland (Maine; not the country) is a Ural dealer.

    And there's probably one within striking distance of most of us;
