Hey everyone, new member here but I have been looking from the outside for a little while. I recently bought a 2013 TRD sport and I am thinking about putting general grabber 265/70/17 on it with a 3" rough county suspension lift. Anyone have a setup similar to this? Pictures and advice/opinions would be great.

No don't do rough country do the bilstein 5100 and eibach coils with an add a leaf in the rear for Lift. Or you even could go OME for the whole lift system.

Have you already wore out the BFGs? I do not think the Generals are much of an upgrade. Now if you have a buyer than that is different. If you are planning to go off road than some Duratracs would be better. I ran the Rugged Trails on my 2009 until they wore out. I never had a failure even on the hunting ranch.

I haven't worn out the BFGs yet I just want something a little bigger. I'm not huge into off roading (yet) so I want something that is kind of all around.
And as far as the OME lift I saw that and liked it. So from what it sounds like the rough country lift kit is just a waste of money?

Welcome Eastcoastin! I'm looking to lift as well, I have a 2013 DCLB and am thinking about 265/70/17's but more I read the more questions I have. I've been knocking myself out researching. I would like to go 2" since it seems less wear and tear would take place, maybe even 3 but then I read I'll need to get UCA's and I'll wear things out faster. Reason for the lift is just to look a little beefier with occasional 4 wheeling at our hunting property and eventually I might get back into surf fishing...although I rusted out a 1981 Jeep in 8 years doing that! I am seriously considering a slightly used Baja kit but I also have a friend telling me he can "hook me up"...confidence is low on that one.

I see your Navy, I was in the Navy Reserves 1984 till 1990...Gunnersmate.

    Just starting...
Put on 265/70/17 BFG A/T KOs today. No lift, don't seem to have any problems.

Is it normal for the TRD Sport to be squishy? I'm thinking the original shocks might still be on and need replacing.

Traded the 2015 TRD Pro 6spd Supercharged on a PowerWagon and could not be happier. My 2011 Tacoma with the TX Baja package (Added by me) is still treating me great. My 1985 Toyota never skips a beat.
Those are my favorite all around tire. good choice!

Yes, its perfectly normal :) they are all squishy stock :) how squishy is the question, they normaly waddle, and feel like they are falling a foot if you back over/off a curb but they dont normally bounce repeatedly after a bump, or bob down the road.
