Haha yea I kno. Its only a matter of time when it decides that its had enough. The only 2rz that I've heard of blowin up was because the boost controler failed an it shot up to like 40psi.

I have 330,000 on my 1996 2.4 5 lug, and it has little weird problems but i beat the hell out of it, drive it through mud, dirt, jump it, and drive it to school everday. Did a head gasket on it 20,000 ago and have to clean out gunk every 10,000 but it runs hard and is reliable

I have an 06 base model with 120K. Just finished a tune up about 30 min ago. runs like a champ and gets good MPG on road trips with 91 octane and a light foot. I purchased my truck 3 years ago with about 75K on it. i have never had a more reliable vehicle.

I just picked up my 06 a month ago with 227k already on it. Flushed the coolant and replaced the thermostat, changed oil, flushed transmission, new air filter, brake fluid and diff fluid, cleaned maf and TBI, it's running great, transmission shifts like its new , spark plugs are coming soon and ac is ice cold. I'm a happy camper.

U R more then welcome Sir ! I'd like to keep mine for 300,000+. I know I could do it if I lived were you do - no salt on the road. The frames are the weak point on our trucks if you live in the snow country. I lost my first Tacoma to rust. Just keep doing what U R doing - change your fluids and you'll be fine.

That's my plan, I'll run it to the ground in the best way. When it's had enough I'll rebuild. Haha. I'm going to try and beat my dad's old Toyota record of 559k on his original transmission on an old 94 pickup with the 3VZ

Actually it went further than that but that's when he sold it

Thanks for the follow up - more then half a million miles and still going - now that's impressive. Let us know when you beat your Dad's record. Good luck with that.
