Stonehill College. Wanted to check out Boston since I was there so I had them book a flight a couple days before. But its all on me to take care of lodging on those couple of days.

What is the ideal area to stay for a first timer? Near the government center? Beacon Hill? Back Bay? The area is walkable distance to everywhere, yeah?

I would stay outside of Boston but on the "T". If you are gonna stay in the city I would stay near government center. It would be easy to get to the Garden, Quincy Market, The Common, The Public Garden and the State House. There are a ton of bars to visit. You can access all the "T" lines from that area so you could go over by Fenway or Back Bay as well as into Cambridge to Harvard

Good info! Is the T accessible at all hours? Like after hours too?

I'm pretty sure most of the lines are soemthing like 5am to 12 midnight. I think the nearest T station for Easton is the Mansfield station, which is the Providence line. Take a look here for the details:

    sweet sounds good!

thanks for the info. I was looking at google maps, and it was saying to take the Brockton stop to get to Stonehill (Middleborough line from South Station). But then again, I have to find out exactly where I'm staying in Easton, then figure out transportation.

Thanks for all the info guys!

That is correct. Take the RT123 exit off RT24 but going away from Brockton. Go right down the street and Stonehill is on your right. Not far off the highway at all. Let us know when your around, like Billy said we can go out for a Beer.

Does anyone know if the Brockton MBTA station has cabs/taxis stationed there? Here in the Bay Area, taxis are available outside of our BART train system in case we need to go somewhere the buses don't access.

I only ask this because I just became aware that the BAT paratransit service doesn't run on Sundays, and that's when I'm arriving at Brockton from Boston.

I checked for cabs and there are cabs there as well as drive bys. You may also want to look at coming into stoughton if that schedule works for you

You taking the Logan Express to Brockton? If you are there should be cabs there, depending on the time of coarse. If you are planning on taking the commuter rail it sucks, and you have to make a few connections from Logan to get to it. I would just take the Logan Express bus from Logan to Brockton, it's like 12 bucks and only takes around 30 minutes to make the trip.

Thanks for all the help guys. I just got the itinerary for that weekend and it looks like they'll be taking care of transportation to Easton so I don't have to worry about taking the train. I'll be staying at the Residence Inn Brockton
