Sweet. Did he tear it apart and waterproof it or did Smittybilt start doing that from the factory or on the comps?

I know lots of people had problems with Smittybilt's not turning off (attributed to lack of waterproofing in the electronics of the winch) and just keep winching and winching until you disconnect power. Jerry had it happen to him and he cut the winch line with his pocket knife right before the two vehicles were going to hit...

Been there before with a winch not shutting off!

The Tacoma snapped a u-joint climbing a steep hill, so we used the 4Runner at the top to winch from. The 4Runner started to slide so he turned off the switch to the winch but it didn't shut off. Luckily he thought quick and opened the hood and pulled the leads off of the battery. Was a scary situation! The rest of the time we winched up the hill, I walked beside the driver side door to be able to pull the leads off if I needed to. Which I had to twice...

I plan on running a relay with a switch in cab for that situation. I will have plugs front and rear anyway for my setup so if you are outside the vehicle the winch should unplug easy.

He had the relay and in cab switch. But neither the switch to pull or let out or the on/off switch worked. found out later the wiring got fried...

Hard to say, depends on what type of tint it used. My tint up front matches the factory rear perfectly on the outside, so around 23%. But on the inside the aftermarket tint it darker, closer to 15%. FWIW, I payed $72 for my front windows.

How many people do you intend to murder? Anonymity can be priceless.

I have 20% on my car and have never been bothered. Cameron has like 5% on his and I don't think he has been bothered. I have another friend with 5% on his car and he has never been bothered. Not even when he lived in Oregon for 2 years with it. I think I have 35% on my Tacoma (I didn't put it on) and I think it is nice. Night driving sucks if your tint is pretty dark.

Also, Idaho law says your front doors have to be 35% of lighter. The rest of the windows (excluding the windshield) can be 20%. Unless the law has changed in the last 5 years. I looked it up in the Idaho reg book when my roommate was in the law enforcement program here at ISU back in 07-08.

It was confusing the first time I drove my truck in the dark. From 100% light to about 20%!

I would be stunned if a cop even questioned your tint in Idaho if you went with 20%. Just saying. haha Just don't be a dick to them.

that M16 tire was made for street queens believe it or not..

Im rocking 35 in my front and i love it. id say it's worth it but if you can talk the guys into going 5% darker than legal i don't think it'll be knoticed.
