    Crazy. What a dummy. To me that looks closer to 150ft. I've seen people nearly die and lose full body volume blood loss from rib fx and splenic rupture from much less impact.

    Correct me if im wrong but %50 of terminal velocity is reached around 3 seconds. Same amount of time it takes him to hit the water. Full Terminal velocity is 122mph with wind resistance and body facing the ground. So hes going about +/- 60 mph by the time he hits the water.

    5,280 ft = 1 mile
    1 mile = 1 minute
    5,280 / 60 seconds = 88 ft ?

    Is that right??? Its late...

    I'm no physics major but did take a few classes; seems you're coming up with it taking 3 seconds to hit, but when you calculate the 88ft, thats only 1 second traveled at 60mph. so he's higher than that it seems.
    Also, I believe you need to take into account the acceleration over the period of time since he's starting at a stationary position and accelerating at the rate due to gravity over the period of the 3 seconds....
    I dont remember the classes well enough to try and calculate at the moment (nor do I care to try at midnight:p) but those were a few points off the top of my head. Hell, maybe i'm totally wrong even, going to bed now! ha

    Just did the math and using 2.65 seconds for how long they fell(timer on my phone :eek:) they hit the water just under 60mph and when you work it backwards i got the height of the cliff to be about 115ft.... that's insane.
