It's enough to bother me if it makes me look like I'm dog/crab walking.

Yes, but I think its usually cause by the rear being off alignment correct?

    Yeah.

Possibly. Probably. I just had my alignment redone Monday. As soon as Adam told me about it and I looked the truck over, I called the alignment shop to make an appointment to fix their original craptastic job. So does it still look like I'm crab walking? I don't know. It wasn't something major to begin with but knowing that it was there bothers me enough to address all possibilities to eliminate the problem.

Don't know how the rear would be out of alignment though.

or if the axles are aligned. my xB has a slight dog walk because i think the back axle is shifted over a bit (drifting jumping wrecking you know that illest life). goodmorning everyone the ladies were nice i also liked her smile :anonymous: go with a low profile plate bumper dennis. if not then buy a tube and add a battering ram in front

I've seen some threads and what happened to you that's caused the misalignment, but that will probably be the last thing I check. Why? It's the most difficult task and I make sure everything was torqued down before the leafs were installed.

There's no aligning the rear if leaf sprung. links, sure, but not us. it is however possible that your axle is out of alignment for any number of reasons. could be a bent or broken centering pin, spring hanger tolerance, tweaked frame, uneven spring height from side to side, etc.....

if your axle is off, that causes what's called a thrust angle. it's the angle difference between a line perpendicular to your rear axle, and the centerline of the vehicle. all vehicles have some amount of thrust angle jsut because they aren't perfect. next time you get an alignment, have them print out the sheet at the end, and it'll give you a thrust angle. that's usually the number you look at after a wreck to see if the frame has been damaged. a large enough thrust angle can give you the crab walk look.

No adjustments in the rear. However. If you have the wrong side leaf in then it will cause a shifted axle. Ie the driver side leaf pack is taller than passenger so it will push it back a hair.

very true but the point of bringing him up was his bumper. in that thread they mentioned that the bumper had almost no damage after he landed on it. i think it was like pushed back and slightly bent or some shit like that

i really can't remember. it was years ago. i need to replace some proken axle shims though, so whenever that happens, i'll try to remember to get a measurement.

you want as big of a head on the bolt as you can get that will still fit in the hole of the spring perch, while still maintaining a bolt diameter that will fit through the springs.

I believe I told you this a few months ago after your"drifting" accident. That you were not abke to move the rear diff because of the pin

Also have to shave the head round so it would fit

i think i actually got a bolt with a head that just barely fit, creating a tighter center than a standard pin.
