I am buying DDMs for fogs and mains.

only recommendation from two friend that have HIDs is get the 35W because you'll really blind everyone with the 55.

    I am getting 6k hi/lo H4 for mains and 3k H10 for fogs

I have read tons of reviews about the DDM and they seem very good. i don't see why I should pay more for something else.

I'm stil undecided between the Raptor and the DDM models.

I just bought the DDM H4/H10 6000K kit with the 35W ballast. It was just under $170 including the shipping. I think I'm going to attempt the Black Headlight Mod when I put them in as well.

They are splotchy because those housings were made for halogen bulbs and not for HID bulbs. I.E. they use a reflective housing rather than a projectors to show light on the road and that's is also why you have that glare.

I saw an older honda accord with HIDs and it did not have the blochy spread; it didn't have projectors.

OK, look at the lens of your Rodeo and I bet that the lens is not a clear lens while the Accord had a clear lens to it. The Rodeo probably has the lens with the different patterns on them that's made to help halogen bulbs diffuse the light better, but that patterning would be bad for HIDs.

The lense is clear. I'm going to have to track down a taco in my area with the HID to see for myself before ordering a set.

A few of my buddies with e36's run those. Life time warranty is probably the best deal out there. One of them is also running a 55w kit. Its 6000k in color but its actually more white than blue it almost looks like my 4500k, just brighter.

Yeah I have been wanting to do that too, but wanted to see if i couldn't pick up another set of headlights first so that if something were to go wrong (knowing me it would) I would still have a set of lights.

That would probably be the smart thing to do, but not really my style. When I give myself a fall back things seem to get messed up. It's just like when I was in grad school and I had to wait till the last second to start writting papers and studying for tests.....

Fyi, I ordered these yesterday, and I got an email by the end of the day with the tracking number for the shipping! I'll post up after I get the lights and do the install, but so far that is pretty awesome service.

I've been on a bit of a shopping spree for the truck. I bought these lights, a grillcraft black mesh upper and lower, some T-Rex eyelids, and the nightshades tint for the tails. I'm going to talk to a body shop about getting ahold of some Black Sand Pearl paint to color match my grill surround, paint the eyelids, do the BLHM and paint the silver TRD skid plate that came on my truck. I think using the BSP on the BLHM will look freaking awesome instead of a regular black. I may just take the stuff to a shop and let them paint it so it all comes out nice and professional looking. I'm sure it wouldn't cost much to have 6 small pieces painted.

I'll probably wait a month or so, and then I'll get some fogs to put behind the grillcraft. I'll be "finished" for a while after I get that done.

Here's the front end now, it won't look like this for long.....
