Best tire pressure

    I have Dunlop AT20 Grand Trek tires that are P245/75 R16 on my 2009 Toyota Tacoma. Im trying to figure what it the best psi to run in the tires. I am running 32 psi right now and do about 85% highway 15% offroad driving... Any help would be great.

    do what the door jam says or your owners manual. that's best for the on road.

    ^X2. For stock tires, follow the doorjamb label. Note the label pressures are for cold tires (i.e. before you drive).

    The "chalk test" should be done on tires that are at operating temperature:
    1. Set your tire pressure before you drive.
    2. Drive for an hour.
    3. Jump out and quickly draw the line across the four tires.
    4. Drive 50-100 feet.
    5. Check results.

    Only on the stock tires and only with NO extra equipment. And even then "best" might be bit of a stretch. That chalk line test gives you a real world setting for your truck w/ all the options and weight you carry.
