Hello everyone, I am a previous Jeep owner and now I own an 06 Tacoma Reg Cab. I love it. I also love the Tacoma community on here, you guys are awesome. I have seen many great ideas and I see a lot of support on this website when people are having issues.

So I am not sure if you guys know this but if you own a Jeep Wrangler you have the "Jeep Wave". All Jeep owners know about "the wave". It is nice you drive by another Jeep owner and you just give a little wave saying "Hey! Nice Jeep!"

Well I want that for Tacoma owners!!! We need to start the "Taco Wave". So when you guys are out driving around in your Taco just give a little wave to other Taco owners.

Feel free to post on here if you are starting the wave in your area. :)

I've welded a tricycle on my roof. whenever I see another tacoma, I mount my tricycle and prepare my lance and shield; all other informed tacomas also have tricycles welded to their roofs

Jeep wave you say? We have the Tacoma Joust.

I do something similar. I stare at other people's Tacoma's with a look of approval.

I usually wave if its a modded Tacoma. A lot of Tacomas in my area are driven by old guys that couldn't care less about what they're driving, they never notice another Tacoma going by.

^^ this. if it's bone stock, typically it seems the driver is oblivious to the make/model of the vehicles around him or her. if it's a modded tacoma, i'll give a nod or wave.

This. Hell, there is so few vehicles around here setup for offroading that I get waves/thumbs up from those in modded Fords and Chevys too.

I've never been waved at in the Taco (at least not by another taco driver, just ladies checkin' it out  ) but I feel special every time I get the motorcycle wave on my Ninja. We have mostly street bikes around here (mainly harleys) so most of 'em snub me when I wave but there's a few that will wave back.

I do the motorcycle wave as well on my Yamaha FZ1. Sometimes the hardcore Harley Riders look at me funny, but I used to have a Sportster. I wave to any biker. That is what I love about the motorcycle riding community. It does not matter what you ride (as long as it is not a scooter or a moped) if you need help someone will come. I have never seen a biker on the side of the road in need of help that has not gotten it.

Why can't we have that in the TACO community? Everyone on here raves about their trucks whether they are modded or not does it really matter? Our trucks are awesome, Stock or modded.

There are so many tacoma's around here, old, new, stock, and modified, that if I was to wave at every one of them I would just have to hold my hand up the entire time I'm driving. Tacoma's are as popular as corolla's or camry's. I'll wave at the occasional modified tacoma as long as it has more than a lift and tires. I've gotten more waves from modified jeep guys than I have from other tacomas.

Yeah, that's me...and it's usually met with a "Who the heck is that dude?" look.

When our trucks win a few wars on behalf of a couple of the largest military in the world it'll happen. Until then we're just like everyone else and thus do not have a wave.

That being said, FJ 40 guys will get waves often from Jeep guys quite often because its a similar pain lol
