I kinda doubt it. Just something i read from someone on the forum, another claimed it helped but could just be the blind leading the blind. Ill figure it out i am sure, just might not figure out why they like to blow bulbs.

 

Open the housings up, the bulbs should not ground out against the side of the housing. That nylon washer might help, but it's not a good solution. There's something inside the housing causing it to ground out that shouldn't be moving. It might be as simple as putting a piece of electrical tape inside the housing at just the right spot (if it is in fact a grounding problem).

No rush at all..whenever is good for you, I still have my stocks. This is an insane month for me now to begin with.

 

I've not had to take mine apart to confirm the bulb being the same, but you're right about the housing/lens. I'll try to post a pic of mine side by side. The driving you can easily see the bulb through, the fog pattern barely if at all.

Only other guess I have is that the lens could be changed, but that assumes the back part of the housing is identical of course.

 

I'd bet the reflector bowl is a steeper cone for the fogs also to get a wide, shallow pattern vs. a long range spot pattern.



Any of you guys running stainless steel brake lines? Any noticable difference?

I actually had a nice ride home the other day, I used my CD player for the first time in a long time and brought Metallica's black album for the ride. I'm now starting to cycle through my old CD's and finding a lot of the songs that never made it to my Ipod.
