    stay away from the southeast corner/coast, west coast, and orlando. that leaves 90% of the state, which is mostly gorgeous wilderness/forest/cattle ranches, or very entertaining swamp/lakes (you should know about having fun in the swamps). i think you call them bayous or something silly though.....

    I was stationed in pensacola (Floribama) and did sporadic work in melbourne. Went to Jacksonville once, and outside of miami, it's really all the same... a half assed and less sexy socal.

    if/when you make a trip out there, let me know and i'd be happy to make some recomendations for off the typically beaten into submission path.

    wheeling, hunting, relaxing.......tons of stuff to do that doesn't involve seeing another person for days if you so choose. or you can go nuts and hit up all the BBQs and eat gator tail for days :D
