    Thats what I want to do but I cant swap it in if the ring gear bolt patterns arent the same...... hate to pull it all apart to not be able to bolt the ring gear up.

    NOBODY KNOWS ANYTHING ABOUT THE 5 LUGS LOL

    Yes, you have a limited slip differential (LSD) and the differential is going to be specific to the ring gear/axle it’s designed for. We don’t build any of our differentials for the 2wd truck such as you have so my information is incomplete, but I believe they are different axles and do not share any parts so the LSD you have will not work. I would suggest posting on Pirate 4x4 as likely someone there should be able to tell you for certain

    Towed my '40 on my car trailer to Oregon. Towed great. Definitely noticed it was there, but TC temp only got to 219 and trans pan temp only reached 201 even on the hills. Glad I had brakes on both trailer axles, saved my truck brakes on the 8% grade going down into Adel OR (25mph two lane with a steep drop off on one side for what felt like an hour but was only a few miles of turns). If anyone plans on towing heavy stuff, the harbor freight w/d hitch with sway control works great for a pretty good price. Anyways, last post in AZ. Good knowing you guys, I already feel that there is a lack of people here in OR that enjoy their trucks as y'all do.
