No 1/2" mdf . I thought I specified , but the dimensions themselves pretty muh give it away .

I'm sure you can use 3/4" and just use the same outside dimensions , you just won't have as much mounting depth .

Side note I notice you said your running and 8 in the stock location. How is it with the two different subwoofers? Only reason I asked I was watching west coast customs a long time ago. They did a subie hatch for some rich kid. What they ended up doing was putting in I think a 8 and a 12. I've heard some people say the larger speaker will drown out the smaller speaker. But in retrospec those guys have alot of money and have been doing it for a while stated their reason behind it was to get different frequenzy responses. Whereas the larger can go lower the 8 will provide a more crisp fast bass for other types of music. Do you think this is possibly true or just some shit they did cause they can? How is it for you?

I don't even notice the 8" honestly but I'm sure it helps , i have the itch to remove the jbl box and put another box with another jl 10 there . Won't happen anytime soon but it's a dream .

Heres a JBL amp wiring diagram , since few ppl have PM'ed me asking. I Found this on the 4runner forum, but all the wires matched my amp. I assume the head unit should be the same but you know once you check.

The PDF of the full diagram

heres a pic below of the amp diagram , but the PDF have more details .

I pulled my amp remote wire from a 12v piggy back fuse just used this for my high level input. ( not in this diagram)

I'm about to install this exact sub into double cab, but I was curious, from the drawings and measurements it looks like you used 1/2" mdf. Is that right? Thanks for the drawings by the way.
