i was gonna say get a crossbreed, i literally carry everywhere with my lcr at the 5 oclock and you couldnt tell it was there. crossbreeds have different holes to slide the gun up/down on the backing to where the handle wont be protruding up as far, also carry my G20 during winter with a small coat, more noticable than the lcr but still concealed.

Renton is where I have my membership.
STS has SC, wobble-skeet and 5-stand.
My son is shooting .223 out of an AR....Not bragging, just saying the recoil and blast are not that great....I don't run a brake on any of my guns.

so my google fu is failing me today, about a week ago, I bought a tasco scope (gasp). What I bought was a vintage japanese made tasco that was new in box (even has the quality ribbon around the tube still). I can't find any info whatsoever on it. it is a model 670 6x32mm deerslayer scope, it is very clear. I paid 50 for it, to put on a vintage mossber .22 rifle that I have. It seems to me like the scope just looks right.

Yall have any info on the scope?

I believe it is an early 70's scope, it is advertised as fogproofed by nitrogen process.

I'll post some pictures in a minute

    Here are pictures

I'm starting to wonder if I am right on the date though

This is the only thing on the end of the box, it is the only other info that I have found

My google fu wasn't much better.

Didn't find much about your scope but the closest I got was googling:
    tasco opti centered

Everyone says the old Japanese Tasco were good, the new Chinese ones are crap. Seems the cut off line was early nineties. From the impact printing rather than laser printing that box looks like 80's style packaging.

Found one on the history and some dates of Tasco. Eighth post down on this page:

At the risk of asking the obvious, have you thought about simply calling Tasco? My experience with most firearms and optics companies is that if you have something of theirs, and you have questions about it, they're usually more than happy to answer them for you. Doubly so if you're asking about something vintage.
    Here's their #: 800-423-3537

I lack much computer literacy; My Google Fu is equivalent to a one-legged one-armed blind guy randomly waving a stick.

Shrug. I AM old school. I still get a paper check, my cell phone is a PHONE, not a computer (no camera, even!). I heat with wood, grow/raise a lot of my own food, and I wear wool hunting gear.
And, possibly the most egregious sins of modernity, I still think chrome and WHITE LETTERS look good on a truck :D
