Nice shots, man. I miss going to Mt. Ranier whenever I wanted. Hey, do you know if there are any wheeling trails out there? I remember seeing some dirt roads on the way to the Longmire gate, but I've never gone down any...

Thanks! Yeah Chinook Pass is gorgeous, I'm NEVER driving I-90 again if I ever have to head to Yakima again. As far as trails, I didn't get a chance to look down around the pass/Mt. Rainier State Park... however I know there's a few trails over near Naches/Rimrock & then by Manashtash Ridge

^Yeah, I've seen some videos on youtube of naches and moonrocks out there. I'll have to look up manashtash ridge and chinook pass. Once my new suspension is all tuned out in the rear, I might have to make a roadtrip back to WA for a while...

You should see some of the other northwestern states like Idaho, Montana, Wyoming, Colorado & Utah. Talk about breathtaking mountains! Those are states that I think about when western mountain states come to mind!!

I'll be waiting to see those pics in your build too man

I think I will too. Did you have to get a specific additional cable in order to use your phone's Pandora/Navigation?

Well mine doesn't have navigation. But for pandora I just use a regular iPhone USB cable. Then I can choose stations and like/dislike songs. It will still do pandora via Bluetooth but I can only skip songs on the deck and have to choose stations or like/dislike from my phone.

The optional AV cable is if you want to run app mode which displays certain apps on the screen. I've heard motionX makes an app that will display on screen and gives you navigation. I just don't bother because we have one highway here and Anchorage is small lol.

Ah gotcha, yeah I might have to get that AV cable then. I just want to buy everything outside of a car audio store (even though I get the friend discount) it's still cheaper off of Amazon.
Just bought the head unit for $325-- the car audio store had it listed for $400

I was like yeeeeeaaah... I'll let you know if I need any help getting something :anonymous:

Haha yeah I did the same. I normally get my stuff from sonic electronix but I got this head unit from Amazon. I feel bad going to car audio places to play with stuff and buy online, but I'm into saving money still lol. If I was redoing speakers and amps and stuff I'd probably pay someone to do it right, but head units are too easy to install for me to pay someone for it.

Thanks woody, yeah it was my first time driving that route- you could say I was won over by the scenery alone!

Yeah I feel bad too, but if that means I'm gonna save $75-100 on a head unit ALONE-- I'm pretty fine with that. It helps that my last head unit I had them do the wiring for $20 or 30 since the previous owner had wires going every which way back there.

Hey are you manual or auto? My deck hits my auto shifter when it opens to put a CD in. It barely hits it but just an FYI.

Manual. Oh what, I didn't even know it opens for a CD player, I just thought it raises out a little bit when it's turned on
