Took mine in for an alignment today and discovered I need lower ball joints, steering rack bushings and inner and outer tie rods. :(Never noticed a thing driving it, felt fine. I looked at the joints in question when it was on the rack and sure enough all that crap had lots of play and excess movement.

So getting new uca's while I'm at it:)

I'd say tig aluminum ismy least favorite after brass, I'd rather weld zinc. pewter welds nice and doesn'ttake much heat.

They still look pretty much like this. For the most part they're always up in my truck unless I'm driving my daughter and her friend.

(yes, new charcoal gray or black carpet is on the to-do list)

Got a LITTLE carried away... may have overestimated my truck's abilities...

Now i get to smell the lovely scent of stale mud and dirty water for the next few weeks till i can steam clean it all out real good.

luckily i stopped before the intake box or exhaust got below the water:)
After my friend and i spent a good hour chopping wood and shoveling dirt while waiting on help, had a buddy with a land rover pull me out.

problem was there was a decent sized pit right before that one.. and i tried to measure the depth with a shovel - about a foot- but once we got the 4 wheel in, she just sank.
4hi, 1st gear. first time getting stuck. lol
the rest of the trails we went on today all went fine, and then this. -_-

i did, it couldnt have been deeper than 1.5ft. Checked with the shovel i had. buuut i guess with the weight of the truck and the super squishy mud/leaf mix at the bottom, i just sank in and wasnt going anywhere. was actually more worried about hydrolocking the motor over getting out at that point.

Damn, thats one thing I will never do, I like my clean ass interior and don't want mud inside of my frame.
