Fully understand. Truly Adam, you're probably in one of the toughest possible positions ... you truly care, but are in a "box" that ties your hands from doing what really needs to be done. Hard to fix something when all the tools aren't available to you. Hang in there.

When my son was probably 16... he said if I didn't do something he wanted that he was gonna call the cops on me. I said go ahead, and by the time they get here, you will have the bruises you claim to have. Mind you, he was probably 6" taller than me and weighed more than I did. He never called and never had any bruises either.

He was actually a good kid except for his grades

 

Yes, Jodi and I are on the same page. He just doesn't respond to anything. I'm sure we will get something figured out. For the most part he is a good kid, just need to find some motivation.

 

Does he do any volunteer work in your community?

 

Some work at a homeless shelter may spark some motivation

Just because a person is homeless does not mean they do not have a job.
