Do you guys have recommendations for gimbals? They seem to be either $600 or $150.

that's what i've found lol. seems like the $600 ones have on the fly tilt adjust, whereas the $200 ones are locked at the angle you take off with them at.

For gimbals, I'd go with something mid-range... the really expensive ones are somewhat worth it as they are engineered very well (think DJI). The cheaper ones are essentially thrown together...

They are however, pretty easy to make since it's all open source. :)

So like everything else in life. You can get buy cheap or do without, mid level is realistic in price and performance, and high end is worth it if you got the cheese.

lol Now if only I could figure out a way to have money for this and my truck .... and move out of my parents house.

Looks like you could put a DJI FlameWheel 450 together for around $500. Could I use a DX6i and receiver with a NAVA-Lite?

I think it would be cool to have a landing pad on your roof, rigged up to a GPS FPV plasma screen in your house, and a huge antenna on your roof to cover 50 miles or so. One can only imagine the various recon missions....or even payload deliveries to fellow operators!? Although A commander would never want to hear "QuadCOPt down! Quadcopt down!" Thats a lot of money to loose over a hostile highway or lake.

Gonna run a KK 2.0 for these for RC test flights... after that they will be getting something else that isn't commercially available... can't speak of it but lets just say it will blow the doors off DJI, 3DR and Mikrocopter

That would be awesome! Until you get busted.... there are rules stating that the bird has to stay within your line of sight. And even with fpv stuff, you are suppose to have a spotter to watch your copter/plane for you

Well, looks like I'm going to put together a Tarot 650. I like that it folds. Gonna get a rifle case to put it and all the gear in.
