Looking for photos of aftermarket hitchs on Gen 2

After looking all day and night (okay, around 6 hours+ hours of readting the towing forum) I was unable to locate what I was looking for, even though it looks like some people had asked before but were never answered.

I'm looking to purchase a hitch for my Gen 2 but I want it to be not too visible, or asthetically pleasing if you will. For those folks who do have a photo of an after market hitch could you please post a photo and state the manufacturer of the hitch.

I plan to buy the tranny oil cooler after the hitch is mounted, and after that do the electric brake controller installation. I have a lot more to research for the controller and that purchase is probably several months away.

Why am I doing this, because I have nothing better to do. I have nothing specific to tow yet, might rent a trencher so that explains geting the hitch first, but next year I think it would be nice to borrow a friends camper and tow it to a park for the weekend.

I like the look. While looking at the photos it looks like this hitch mounts to the bottom of the bumper as well. Can you confirm this? I saw the four bolts securing it to the frame and then there were two wedges and bolts which appears to go through the bottom of the rear bumper. That would definately strenghten it up.

Also, never seen the etrailer website, looks like a one stop shop for me. I'll have to take a look at the other toys they have to offer.

Yes there are 2 bolts that hook up to the bumper. You have to pop the little plastic caps off the bumper to put the bolts through. After you tighten it up, you pop the caps back on. (you will need a torque wrench)
I also ordered my wiring harness there also!! I would recommend them to anyone.

 

If you don't have a hitch now and add one using the bolt holes in the bumper, You do have to pop those plastic caps but....When you replace those caps you may have to do a bit of modding. Those caps come in two different sizes. One set for non-factory hitch and a little taller set for factory hitch installed.

Mine popped right back on with no modding. The 2 bolts that came with the hitch look like set screws.

Very nice, they look like a low-pro flat head with an allen drive which would allow the stock caps to fit.
I went with an OEM hitch and the taller caps came with it. They're needed to cover the Toyota bumper-to-hitch bolts.

In aftermarket hitches, Valley looks like a good choice.

 

I appretiate the information from all of you. Unless someone else chimes in before I purchase my hitch, I think the valley model looks fine. I also noticed I won't have to remove the bumper bolts so that's one less step in the process.

As for the wiring harness, I'm looking to go with a full blown 7 pin (have to start with 4 pin of course). Looked at a tranny and engine oil cooler as well as brake controller. I don't think the overall cost will be terrible. Sure it would be nice to have a larger alternator but if I need it, I'll add that at a later date. Hitch first.

Been using that same valley hitch since I bought my 07.. Works great, no complaints..
